    Hello mister Iten,

My name is Bas Juijn. I live in Holland and I am an art historian and a fair draughtsman.
Congratulations on your graduation at this high-quality art academy!! I am always pleased to see that there are people like you who use their talent to continue the beautiful art of illusionistic painting! In fact, I am struggling on that road myself too.

I think your copy of Vermeer’s Milkmaid is quite good. Did you glaze in the same places he did? want to ask you for some advice on copying old master paintings. I have no idea how to go about it in such a way that I will really learn from it. For I think that there are certainly non-helpful ways to do it. Could you help me on this matter? I would really appreciate it.
Examples I would copy are from Coreggio, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Carel Fabritius, Willem Kalf. They are my top-favorites. Nowadays I am inspired by Jacob Collins as well.

    With kind regards,

    Bas Juijn
